Kickback Recovery

Mike is a trustee for Kickback Recovery Community CIO which is a new charity in Sheffield which aims to provide a peer-led support service for people recovering from addiction to drugs and or alcohol and for people facing mental health issues or other problems arising from addiction. Mike supports people through their addiction and recovery by providing talks, counselling and mentoring services.

We now need funding support for project costs to organise activities, events and to provide things like training, transport and refreshments for our vital group work. We also need funds for venue hire, to set up our web site and for volunteers expenses. Please help us to help Kickback Recovery Community CIO to become Sheffield’s premier support service for people in recovery.

IBS Network

Mike is a specialist advisor to the IBS Network and contributes by writing articles on how talking therapies and wellbeing can help members of the public and the IBS network who are suffering from IBS. the We are the national charity supporting people living with irritable bowel syndrome. Our mission is to provide information and advice, working alongside healthcare professionals to facilitate self-management. Thanks to your donations, we help thousands of IBS sufferers to live well with this debilitating condition.

The IBS Network is the UK’s national charity for people living with IBS, offering information, advice and support to people suffering from IBS and working with health care professionals to facilitate IBS self-management. However, our work would not be possible without the generosity of our members and donors. These donations allow us to continue providing support and advice for individuals with IBS as well as help raise awareness of the condition.

The Dearne Playhouse

Mike is a trustee at The Dearne Playhouse, having been asked by Julie Medlum the Theatre Manager Julie Medlum to get involved with the marketing and raising awareness amongst the local business community. The theatre was officially opened on July 15th, 2006 by the Dearne’s very own Brian Blessed and has rapidly become the Dearne Valley’s leading venue for shows, comedy, concerts, musicals and plays. As a producing theatre, we pride ourselves on staging high standard professional productions as well as giving local talent the best of opportunities.

The theatre depends largely on volunteers to keep it running, from the actors on stage to the box office and bar staff, this really is a community theatre and over the years we have created a wonderful little family.

The theatre is used for all kinds of events, not just shows and productions, but it is booked for meetings, parties, talks, competitions and cabarets, just to name a few.

SP Bespoke

Mike works in partnership with Paul Kalaher and Shig Hayre by signposting people who have become dependent on drugs or alcohol to speak to Paul or Shig, and by supporting their clients who are recovering from addiction or experiencing a range of other personal, legal of family concerns.

SP Bespoke offer bespoke counselling plans to help with alcohol dependency and drug addictions. As a result, our plans are completely tailored to you, the individual.

They are provided to assist you through the darkest times in your life. Our approach to finding solutions for addictions and any legal problems offer a structured and effective method. We will be there to work through habits and behaviours that may be affecting your whole life.
