MHFA Champion
Introducing our one-day Mental Health Champion course, designed specifically for managers and team leaders. This flexible programme is available online or face-to-face, tailored to suit your needs. The aim is to equip you with the knowledge and skills to support team members dealing with mental health issues, promoting a healthier and more productive work environment.

Course Format
Our course offers a blend of learning methods, accessible face-to-face or via video conferencing. Learning occurs through a mix of presentations, group discussions, and workshop activities. We limit course participation to 16 individuals per session to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Course Content
Session 1: Understanding Mental Health First Aid
This session equips you with a comprehensive understanding of mental health and its impact on the workplace:
Mental health and Workplace stress
Effects of Stigma and Discrimination
Overview of Depression and anxiety disorders
Other mental health issues (eating disorders, self-harm, psychosis)
Early warning signs of mental ill health
Relationship between alcohol, drugs, and mental health
Session 2: Implementing the Mental Health First Aid Plan
In this session, you learn how to apply a structured plan to support those experiencing a mental health crisis:
Approaching the person, assessing, and assisting with any crisis, including suicide
Listening and communicating non-judgementally
Providing support and information
Encouraging the individual to seek appropriate professional help
Promoting the use of additional supports
Understanding the journey towards recovery
Building a mentally healthy workplace
Creating a plan for utilising Mental Health First Aid

Cost

Cancellation Policy
Payment must be made before attending the course to secure your place as a delegate and initiate the provision of your course resources.

You will receive an email confirmation of your payment and booking. If this is not received, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Please note, courses cancelled within 48 hours of booking are eligible for a refund. However, no refund is available on any booking cancellation made after the 48-hour cooling-off period and before the course start date.
A course booking can be rescheduled up to 7 days before the course start date. This can be switched to either an online course or a face-to-face session.
